This Roman funerary monument was built in the first half of the 1st century AD beside the Via Augusta. The tower-shaped mausoleum has three stacked sections of decreasing perimeter and is thought to have been topped with a pyramid-shaped crown.

More information
The façade of the middle section shows two figures of Attis, an Eastern funerary deity, holding an inscription. A mistaken identification of the figures as the Scipio brothers is the origin of the traditional name. The Tower is part of the archaeological ensemble of Roman Tarraco, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000. It is an open-air monument managed by the National Archaeological Museum of Tarragona.
