The Iberian Citadel of Calafell, also known as the Iberian settlement of Alorda Park or Les Toixoneres, is an archaeological site of the Cossetani Iberians, excavated for just over 30 years. It is a fortified enclosure facing the sea, founded in the 6th century BC, which met its end in the late 3rd century BC under the impact of the Second Punic War.

Recognised as one of the greatest cellists of all time, Pau Casals was born in El Vendrell, in a humble house open to visitors, where you can follow the musical beginnings and childhood of this great maestro. Later, he moved to live by the sea, in what is now the Vil·la Museu Pau Casals, which is part of the Paisatge dels Genis route and where, through audiovisuals and personal objects, you will get to know the house, life and work of this illustrious native of El Vendrell. Finally, if you get the chance, take the opportunity to attend some of the many concerts held every year at the Auditori Pau Casals.
Outdoor lunch at Fondo del Mata
Can you imagine having a barbecue in a restored former rubble dump? We are talking about the Fondo del Mata recreation area, an ideal spot for an outdoor lunch with friends or family. The area has an equipped zone with tables, seats and barbecues, as well as surroundings with fountains, benches and two small ponds. Advance booking is required to use the picnic area.
