Nature and inspiration in l'Hospitalet de l'Infant and Mont-roig del Camp
It is no surprise that the painter Joan Miró found peace and inspiration at Mas Miró, in Mont-roig del Camp, in the Baix Camp region. In these parts of the Costa Daurada, sea and mountains are only a few kilometres apart, and the landscapes are beautiful and, on sunny days, an intense, captivating blue.
We advise starting the day in this area in l'Hospitalet de l'Infant, with a kayak trip from the Platja de l'Arenal to the Cova del Llop Marí (Sea Wolf Cave), one of those extraordinary places well worth visiting. You can also dive into the seabed of the cave and discover its rich biodiversity by snorkelling. Did you know that, according to legend, a sea beast hides there that drives away pirates?
And from the shades of blue of the Mediterranean in l'Hospitalet, we encourage you to head to Mont-roig del Camp, and specifically to Mas Miró. There a digital game awaits, ideal to do as a family, with children up to 12 years old, which invites you to explore the different rooms of the house to find out who Joan Miró was and why his artistic legacy is so important. At the end of the activity, you will have to build a sculpture, just as Miró did.
Don't forget to take a look at the Games section, where there are plenty of fun family leisure ideas to make your day on the Costa Daurada even better.
