3. Sea and mountain route for experts through the Priorat and the Baix Camp
This is one of the longest routes we suggest, but the crossing through the Priorat and the Baix Camp lets you enjoy spectacular views of both the sea and the mountains. We set off from Cambrils towards Mont-roig del Camp, where we begin the first mountain pass, up to the Colldejou summit that opens the way into the Priorat. From here, a fast descent takes us to Marçà, and then we start the climb of the second pass, from Falset to the Coll de Falset, with spectacular views of Porrera in the distance. From Porrera we begin the climb to La Teixeta, followed by a fun descent to Duesaigües. We ride past the Riudecanyes reservoir and reach Montbrió del Camp. From there, about 20 km remain, always on favourable terrain, as far as Vila-seca, and the route ends with 6 flat kilometres from Salou to Cambrils.

Points of interest: On the way from Mont-roig to Marçà you can stop at Escornalbou Castle and the Hermitage of the Mare de Déu de la Roca. We also recommend visiting the Castell del Vi in Falset, a museum housed in the former castle of the Counts of Prades, built in the 12th century after the Christian reconquest of New Catalonia, on a strategic hill overlooking the town of Falset.
Surrounded by botanical gardens with centuries-old plants and sculptures, you will find the Hotel Termes Montbrió, in Montbrió del Camp, built on the spot where a spring of thermal water was discovered. It is a complex for resting and reconnecting with yourself. One of its most prized jewels is the Aquatonic, a thermal space unique in the province of Tarragona. There you can immerse yourself, swim or simply walk in the natural thermal waters of the Aquatonic. You will come out revitalised and feeling all the therapeutic properties of the minerals in these truly special waters!
In the east of the Priorat, a few kilometres from the Coll de la Teixeta, you will find Porrera. Besides being known worldwide for its association with wine and with the singer-songwriter Lluís Llach, this town has many points of interest, such as the hermitage of Sant Antoni Abat, built in the 17th century, or the many sundials scattered around the town centre and its municipal area. The most notable are the inclined vertical sundial, the "Rellotge de Tarda", in Plaça de la Guineu, and the large inclined vertical dial in the middle of Carrer Pau Casals.
The Riudecanyes reservoir is a unique spot for a variety of water sports. From April onwards you can go kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding or pedalo boating surrounded by nature. Don't miss the fantastic feeling of being alive on a beautiful lake!
