Platja de Baix a Mar
Baix a Mar beach in Torredembarra, a municipality in the northern third of the Costa Daurada, is located in the old fishing quarter and stretches from the Club Marítim to Plaça Narcís Monturiol, an area with great tourist potential and appeal, where much of the gastronomic offer is concentrated.
Baix a Mar beach, 800 metres long, with fine golden sand and a gentle slope leading to its clear, warm and calm waters, has a sports area and six beach tennis courts. On the promenade you will find the Biblioplatja (beach library) and Cal Bofill, an environmental activities centre. And at the end of Baix a Mar beach you will find the Club Marítim, which hosts various water activities and a children's sailing camp.
If you like snorkelling, at Baix a Mar beach there is an area, the Antines, with a magnificent underwater landscape formed by three rock bars rising parallel to the shoreline.
Baix a Mar beach also has various services, such as assisted bathing with an amphibious chair, reserved parking for people with disabilities, lifeguards and rescue, beach bars and sunbed and parasol hire, bins and recycling points, adapted public toilets, showers, fountains and foot-washing stations, among others.
