Platja Llarga
Platja Llarga in Tarragona, located between the beaches of Els Capellans and Cala Fonda, is, at almost three kilometres long, the longest beach in Tarragona and on the Costa Daurada. Located right by the N-340, Platja Llarga has fine golden sand, a very gentle slope into the sea, and warm, calm and clear waters.
Platja Llarga also treasures a natural area of great importance made up, on the one hand, of a wetland and a dune area that are a Habitat of Community Interest protected by the European Union, and on the other, by the Special Plan for Natural Interest of Punta de la Móra, at the northern end. It is also close to the Bosc de la Marquesa, a refuge of native vegetation.
Easily reached on foot, via the spectacular camí de ronda, by car and by public transport, Platja Llarga offers a range of services that make it a very busy beach, popular with families. La Llarga has parking areas, restaurants and beach bars, and also offers sports activities on the sand and water activities. It also has walkways and assisted bathing with amphibious chairs.
