Walks in the Parc Natural del Montsant from Albarca
If you fancy a hike in the Parc Natural del Montsant, for example following the route to the Ermita de la Mare de Déu del Montsant, we suggest first heading to the village of Albarca, a 13-minute drive from Prades, the starting point of many of these routes through this magnificent natural setting. If you are in good shape, we suggest climbing up to the Roca Corbatera, from where you will have fantastic views of the Serralada del Montsant.
Climb Tossal de la Baltasana with children
The Tossal de la Baltasana is the highest point of the Muntanyes de Prades. Even so, it is quite easy to reach, so we suggest a circular route that starts in the centre of Prades and lets you climb up and back down this popular peak in just over three hours.
Enjoy the natural surroundings of the village of Farena
A 25-minute drive from Prades you will find a charming little medieval village. We are talking about Farena, from where we suggest a hike to the Toll de l'Olla natural pool. In the summer months it tends to be quite busy, so if you are looking for quieter natural spaces, before reaching Farena you can stop at Capafonts, where you can take routes of great scenic charm around the River Brugent, visit the old bread oven or be a shepherd for a day.
