Go geocaching in L'Espluga de Francolí
El tresor del Francolí
Would you like to find the hidden treasure of L'Espluga de Francolí? We invite you to play a geocaching game (GPS orienteering) in the town's natural surroundings, in which you will find a series of locations leading to a great final surprise, a hidden "treasure".
Discover the depths of the earth at the Coves de l'Espluga
We suggest putting on a wetsuit and heading up an underground river, discovering the most unusual and surprising galleries. It involves a visit to the Coves de l'Espluga, an introduction to the world of caving on a fairly easy route. You can also explore the museum area of the Caves, walking through the wide, dry part of the Caves and discovering the life of the prehistoric humans who lived there up to our own day. This guided tour with audiovisuals lasts an hour and a quarter and is a must for anyone visiting L'Espluga de Francolí. If you prefer the outdoors, you can visit the Museu Terra, a museum that explores the traditional life of Catalonia's villages, especially that of the farming families who lived in rural areas.
Visit the Monastery of Poblet
Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1991, Poblet is the largest inhabited Cistercian monastery in Europe. We suggest a visit through all its rooms to discover the history of this architectural complex of great importance to the Crown of Catalonia-Aragon. Poblet is the largest monastery on the Cistercian Route; Santes Creus and Vallbona de les Monges, in the province of Lleida, are the other two, and it is a good starting point for getting to know these three great monastic complexes.
Discover the history of Montblanc
You may know Montblanc for its connection with Saint George, but this #VilaAmbCaràcter (town with character) hides many secrets, anecdotes and traditions that we invite you to discover on a guided tour of Montblanc's historic centre.
