Routes to discover the surroundings of the Paratge Natural de Poblet
Reboll, serveis ambientals
Routes around the Paratge Natural de Poblet. Discover the surroundings of the Casa Forestal de la Pena or the Casa del Tillar, walking through holm oak and pine woods... Lasting at least about 4 hours with a moderate gradient, the activity is suitable for families who want an enjoyable, educational outing while learning about and reflecting on the natural values around them.
More information
If you have some experience on routes, you can choose the itinerary through the lower part of the Vall de Montblanc, which covers part of the shady side of the valley and passes by the main point of interest: the waterfall.
Visit the Monastery of Poblet
Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1991, Poblet is the largest inhabited Cistercian monastery in Europe. We suggest a visit through all its rooms to discover the history of this architectural complex of great importance to the Crown of Catalonia-Aragon. Poblet is the largest monastery on the Cistercian Route; Santes Creus and Vallbona de les Monges, in the province of Lleida, are the other two, and it is a good starting point for getting to know these three great monastic complexes.
Visit the Museu i Forn del Vidre in Vimbodí
In Vimbodí we invite you to find out whether "blowing and making bottles" is as easy as it looks. Take the opportunity to visit the Museu i Forn del Vidre, which highlights the importance of this almost vanished industry.
Discover the depths of the earth at the Coves de l'Espluga
We suggest putting on a wetsuit and heading up an underground river, discovering the most unusual and surprising galleries. It involves a visit to the Coves de l'Espluga, an introduction to the world of caving on a fairly easy route. If you prefer the outdoors, you can visit the Museu de la Vida Rural, a museum that explores the traditional life of Catalonia's villages, especially that of the farming families who lived in rural areas.
