DO Penedès

It is one of the best-known D.O. in all of Europe, without a doubt. But we want to tell you other details that make it really essential. The relationship between wine, landscape and culture becomes evident when listening to the cello of the master Pau Casals, born in El Vendrell, the municipality where you can visit his birthplace and the Pau Casals Villa Museum, which are part of the Genius Landscape Route. In this land of passage, there is also the Iberian Citadel of Calafell, one of the most unique sites in Catalonia and an ideal space to interpret how the Iberians lived.

The DO Penedès offers experiences in wineries, activities in the vineyards, tastings, walking and cycling trips , as well as visits to museums to get to know the culture in depth. In its wineries you can find surprises such as the Forvm Vinegars, made in vineyards located on what was the Roman Via Augusta, in the Avgvstvs Forvum Winery: high quality sweet and sour vinegars that have been served at the dinners of the international Nobel Prizes. 
 

DO Penedès

If we talk about the DO Penedès, the most cultivated grape variety is Xarel·lo. It is a territory of fresh, white grapes that ripen in the face of the heat and also the drought but that give us unique, fresh wines, ideal to savor with the typical products of the Costa Dorada.
